Altar at the church over the site where Jesus fed the 5,000 with five loaves and 2 fish.
This will mean nada to most of you, but for my Mom, I HAD to take a picture of this sign at the Church of the Primacy. These Rock Hyrax were all over our jaunts in Kenya. The funny thing, Mom kept calling them big rats--some of the ladies on our bus were squealing with delight calling them "so cute!" hahahahaha. Love ya, Mom! (Sorry, not wart hogs here!)

Bryan climbed who KNOWS how many stairs to THE TOP of THE hill. Here are a few pics of what he saw.

Caesarea National Park--The Roman Theatre sign
THE foot.
Model of the park.
The Roman Theatre. It was told us that usually they built the theatres to the East, so the sun wouldn't be in the audience's eyes. Not this one. It's facing West, so the sea could help bring the actor's voices to the audience (so they wouldn't have to yell).
Caesarea, hippodrome, etc.
Me, showing scale of this thing!
Hrrod's massive aqueduct.
Bryan and I at the Mediterranean Sea.

Dome of the Rock through the trees.
View of the Mount of Olives from across the street, the graves, etc.
Shraga, our excellent leader, on a trusty camel.
I just had to take a picture of this sign. It was so strange to me to see these Biblical/historical places on a street sign.

Bryan and I in front of Wailing Wall and the Dome of the Rock.
Wailing/Western Wall Sign. The Wailing/Western Wall is where the Jews believe God presence is and never leaves. We noticed when Jews were finished praying, they walked away from the wall backwards--still facing the wall.
The Wailing Wall--divided men and women. I did write down a prayer and stick it in the wall. What an experience!

More Digs.
Look a the size of bricks that make up the Temple walls!
The "regular people" entrance to the temple. The door is on the left, shaded, and blocked by a wall--you can see half of it. This was the door Jesus and his family used to enter the Temple.
The original Teaching Steps: where Jesus was found by his parents after three days of looking for him.

Shraga took us to the Holocaust Museum. When you walked in, looks like a tunnel and you weave through, right to left, to see the displays--to finish at the end--the light at the end of the tunnel. It was a very powerful showcase of history.
Shraga explaining the layout of the musuem.
This sign reads, "Garden In Memory Of Children Who Perished In The Holocaust."
The entrance to the Children's Memorial. This memorial was quite powerful. It was a tower that had only six candles, but the way glass was placed, the six candles reflected to represent each child that perished in the Holocaust. While we walked around the circle, each child's name was read, their age, where they lived.
A memorial representing a man who owned an orphanage and loved children.
Gina and Shraga
Bryan and I with Shraga, and Ramie, our driver behind us.
